Cautions while taking green tea

  • Green contains lesser caffeine than coffee and normal tea but still the thing is it contains caffeine. Hence, if you are sensitive to caffeine then one cup of green tea should be your limit for green tea consumption.
  • Green tea contains tannins which can decrease the absorption of iron and folic acid. So,if you are pregnant then green tea may not be good for you. Tannins stimulate the stomach to secrete more acid.
  • Don't consume green tea during two hours after taking medicine.
